Reidar Mester is a product designer based in Berlin, Germany. With a background in architecture and a strong respect for craftsmanship, he designs and builds his work combining traditional techniques with contemporary production methods. 

For Mester, building is an essential part of the design process. Working directly with materials helps him understand how they behave, how they come together, and how to design with them in a way that feels natural and precise. This hands-on involvement shapes both the structure and appearance of his work.

He pays close attention to how elements connect, seeing the choice of joints as a fundamental part of the design. By combining materials such as aluminum with acrylic or stainless steel with leather, he creates pieces that are both functional and visually engaging, shaped by a clear understanding of their use and context. 

Through ongoing experimentation and a direct engagement with materials, Mester creates balanced compositions that highlight the individual qualities of each component.His aim is to develop practical and thoughtful solutions that support everyday life and respond to real human needs.
