MARLIES VON SODEN
Berlin-based artist Marlies von Soden transforms polypropylene into ethereal sculptures and light objects that evoke coral, flowing fabric, or brocade. Using an extruder, von Soden sculpts unique, organic forms, blending material innovation with her background in costume design. Exhibited internationally, her art celebrates beauty and craftsmanship while provoking a sense of wonder.
Her works, which balance fragility and playfulness, are included in the collections of the Württemberg State Museum, Stuttgart; Robert Wilson, New York; and many others.
