The Nest series are containers, of sort, but they should not nescessarily be read as objects of utility. Instead the artist sees these vessel-like sculptures as nests. Their thinned, ruptured edges, weathered surfaces, lichen-white glaze or deep blues (like marshes) hint at geologic processes and landform origin.
