The Tower Plant belongs to a series of objects that highlight the contradictions of urban living, exploring the evolving role of architecture in contemporary society. The design shifts from the purely aesthetic to the performative, offering a critical commentary on present social conditions. Plants inhabit the tower, sprouting through differently shaped windows. The juxtaposition of these norm-core plants—commonly found in everyday households—resembles diverse inhabitants within a building. This contrast reveals a new vision, transforming the ordinary into something poetic.
The aluminium tower features a square-shaped base with multiple plant compartments of varying rectangular cutouts. It is constructed from hand-matted aluminium and supported by a four-legged polished stainless steel stand. Handmade in Berlin.
