The organic shapes that make up the Spur I-VI series have been created by vigorously embossing thick Hahnemühle paper with a stylus and allowing the repetitive tracing gestures to dictate the form to come. The tension generated between the lines gives the work a unique corporeality, locating it somewhere between 2D and 3D, at the intersection of Myriam Perrot’s media of choice.
